/Music PR News/ - LOS ANGELES, CA, July 03, 2008 - Kansas City-based band, far beyond frail, draws listeners near with an irresistible blend of alternative-folk music, poetic lyrics, and stunning female vocals. Formed in 2002 on Martha's Vineyard, their vocalist Sharlynn Verner and songwriter/guitarist David Cecil are a dynamic duo sharing musical likeness with Aimee Mann, Tori Amos, and Sarah McLachlan.
After two successful independent releases—their debut, The Vineyard EP and A girl, almost... in 2005—far beyond frail is gearing up for an August tour in support of their third EP, Butterfly Sketches. This collection of songs is an intense look at love, at its most heartbreaking and uplifting. Recorded in Cincinnati, Ohio and produced by Grammy-nominated producer Ric Hordinski (Over the Rhine, David Wilcox), this collection of songs represents the band's most impressive work to date.
